CTMH Sweet Home Christmas Card

I am busy prepping for my upcoming Christmas Card workshops . . . which is why you are not seeing any new original artwork from me this week. But I thought I would share another one of the cards that my workshop attendees will be creating. I came across this card somewhere in blog land - - but didn't make note of where - so I am not sure who to give credit to! (If it is you, or someone you know, please let me know so that I can add the appropriate credits to my blog post!) Anyway - I love the simplicity of this card . . . and the glitter!!

CTMH Simple Pleasures You & Me Layout

I used a sketch from the Page Maps Blog for this layout. I am totally LOVING the new Close to My Heart felt die-cuts! (As you can probably tell - as I've used them on my last three projects/posts).

A few new cards!

Yay - it is Thursday - that means I get to play in my craftroom! It has been a crazy busy week - so I've been needing some craft therapy!

My first card is for this week's sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping. I am always in need of birthday cards for kids - so I kept that in mind when I was choosing the colour scheme for this one.

Here is another card I wanted to share with you today. I totally cased it from one posted by consultant Audrey Latona on our CTMH Consultant Artwork Bulletin Board. I changed the sentiment and used stamped stitching instead of real stitching - but the card is otherwise hers! Isn't it great?

CTMH Picture Perfect Layout featuring Felt Die-Cut Border

I absolutely LOVE this picture. I took it this past summer as the kids enjoyed a quiet moment with their 'Poppa'!

This is sketch #39 from the Scrappiest. You can click on the picture to see a larger view of the layout.

Hello all! Hope you are having a great weekend.
I made this cute little card for the challenge over at Project Tuesday. These pocket cards are super easy to make and a fun idea for a card that is a little bit different than the norm!

    I Remember

Just a quick post today to say "I Remember".

Today is Rememberance Day in Canada so I am sending my Thanks and Appreciation to all who have fought for our country.

My special thanks go to my grandfather Richard Tebb who fought in WWII. He was one of the lucky ones who survived the war. The fact that he rarely talked about his war experiences is a testament to how deeply it had affected him. Since his death over 13 years ago, we have learned a little more about his time overseas from reading letters and other mementos that he left behind. I certainly now have a greater appreciation for all that he, and others, did for us.

So today my thoughts are with all who have served, and especially you Grandpa. Thank you.

    Random Acts of Kindness

I was the lucky recipient of a random act of kindness today . . . and it made my day!!

Thank you to my blogging friend (and fellow Canadian!) Krista Ritskes who sent me these fabulous cards!

They both feature the CTMH Stamp Set "Treasures", which was the Stamp of the Month back in September - - and was my favourite Stamp of the Month set for all of 2009!! (I'm hoping we'll be seeing this set in future Idea Books as part of our regular inventory!)

Thanks again Krista! I love the cards! Your kindness is much appreciated!!

    CTMH Caprice Friendship Card

*2nd post for today*This card was inspired by Sketch #30 at Unscripted Sketches, but in the end - I decided that in order to keep the focal point on the stamped image, less was more. The card seemed to work better without added embellishments. So - here is my simplified version of Sketch #30:
